11 Days Morocco Western Sahara Tour Marrakech To Dakhla

Day 1: Marrakech Airport Arrival Morocco

On the first day of our 11 Days Morocco Western Sahara Tour from Marrakech To Dakhla, We will either visit the famous Jamaa Elfna Square or just head to your accommodation so you can take some rest.

Day 2: Exploring Marrakech Guided Tour

During this day of the MOROCCO WESTERN SAHARA TOUR MARRAKECH TO DAKHLA, we will explore the Red City. We will have a guided tour that will take us to explore the main landmarks of the city; places that have a huge historical and cultural value. The list includes Bahia Palace, the Saadian Tombs, the Koranic school of Ben Youssef along with the Medina and the Souks. After lunch in a traditional restaurant at the famous Jamaa Lafna Square, we can go visit the Koutoubia Mosque and the fascinating gardens of Majorelle which have an amazing collection of plants from all over the world. At the end of the day, we will stay at the traditional Riad where we will book.

Day 3: Marrakech – Atlas Mountains – Ait Ben Haddou – Zagora

After breakfast early in the morning, we will depart on our tour from Marrakech, traveling through the amazing landscapes of the Atlas mountains and many Berber villages where people live a very simplistic lifestyle. We will stop at the UNESCO world heritage site Ait Ben Haddou, which is also a famous filming site where many famous Hollywood movies shot their scenes at. After lunch, we will go to Ouarzazate and visit the Kasbah of Taourirt. Then we will drive past Daraa valley, which has the largest palm tree plantation in Morocco after we pay a visit to Agdez Oasis. On our way to Zagora, we will stop in different places in Drâa to take some memorable photos before we arrive at Zagora, have Dinner, and overnight at a traditional hotel.

Day 4: Zagora – M’hamid – Erg Chegaga Dunes

This of our 11 Days Morocco Western Sahara Tour Marrakech To Dakhla in the morning, we will depart on our desert tour towards Erg Chegaga Dunes in a 4×4 car, After a short break in the panoramic view of Draa palmeraie, we will have a stop at Tamegroute to visit the famous Koranic library (Closed on national and religious holidays) and an underground Kasbah, we will continue to M’Hamid, a small village – the last town and the major Draa oasis before the big wasteland of Erg chigaga Sahara. After lunch, we will drive off-road after that to Mlaalg Oasis and head to the desert camp of Erg Chegaga Dunes. After we arrive and enjoy some rest with mint tea, we will ride the camels towards the high dunes to get a glimpse of the sunset, which is one of the most amazing views of the desert. The night will be spent enjoying the night sky in a nomadic tent or a private one, depending on your choice.

Days 5-6: Guelmime – Ksar Tafnidilt.

After breakfast early in the morning, we will depart on our Morocco Western Sahara Tour from Marrakech To Dakhla, we will Continue to Guelmime, the last major town of Morocco proper and a former trading center for the Saharan camel caravans. From here we head off on rough tracks along the beach, sandwiched between the dunes. Explore the remote region surrounding the Draa estuary, with tiny settlements and abandoned military posts. We will arrive at Ksar Tafnidilt, where we will have an overnight stay at a local traditional Hotel with dinner & breakfast.

Day 7: Tarfaya

Today after breakfast we will continue our 11 Days Morocco Western Sahara Tour from Marrakech To Dakhla. Our route took us between the desert and the Atlantic Ocean, passing small caves inhabited by fishermen as well as the impressive Naila lagoon, an inland sea separated from the ocean by rows of dunes. In the afternoon we arrive at the small town of Tarfaya. We will arrive at Tarfaya where we will have an overnight stay at a local traditional hotel in a small town.

Days 8-9: Laayoune – Western Sahara

After we have our breakfast, we will leave Tarfaya and drive to Laayoune, the main town of Western Sahara. From here we meet our local Saharawi guide and embark on an expedition into this largely unknown area. We venture into an untamed landscape of dunes and desert, stopping at wells to meet the Reguibat nomads and their herds of camels that eke a living from this unforgiving habitat. We camp for two nights, then on Day 9 reach Dakhla at the end of the day, we will stay at the hotel where we will book.

Day 10: Dakhla Sightsseing

Today on our Morocco Western Sahara Tour From Marrakech To Dakhla. After breakfast, we’ll spend the day exploring Dakhla and its surrounds, with its superb beaches and opportunities to fish in the Atlantic. We will spend the night at a nice hotel with a panoramic view.
